Sure, the term Love Jugs evokes a plethora of jokes from adult films to gentlemen’s clubs, but that’s exactly something that will remain etched in your mind from here on out. Kind of a brilliant marketing campaign, ain’t it? Given the anatomy of its products, it’s not hard to see where the name came from. And, speaking of those products (let’s not get too sidetracked here), we landed ourselves a set of Love Jugs Cool Masters (Dennis Kirk #4901524/$399), a pair of external cooling fans meant to dissipate the heat radiating between your legs while crawling through traffic. Quite simply, increasing the air flow over an air-cooled engine’s fins lowers the overall temperature.

Love Jugs delivers cooling air directly to where it’s needed most, flowing through a pair of electric fans at a clip of 504 CFM. The Cool Master comes in glossy black, powder coated black, or chrome, and is made entirely from aircraft-grade stainless steel. We opted for the glossy black to continue blacking out our American Iron Magazine/Dennis Kirk giveaway Fat Boy.

We’re also putting the finishing touches on an ignition switch relocation during this install. Back in the Spring issue of AIG, we mounted a new Klock Werks dash, which requires the relocation of the stock ignition switch. The Klock Werks ignition relocation mount is available separately from the dash kit (DK #214401/$169.95), but we got both together. So, we can mount that sucker right onto the Love Jugs’ assembly, though we need to make some small improvisations, such as buying a longer bolt and cutting a rubber gasket. The mount fits perfectly, however, and we are able to complete two installs in one go, all before lunch.

You can find several different models available from Love Jugs, and there is also a vibration dampening option available, another accessory we opted to use on the Fat Boy. We wanted to ensure minimal bounce on these bad boys. All Love Jugs products will fit 98 percent of all Harley-Davidson’s ever made, so long as there is a left side horn mount. So if you’ve been looking for a way to cool down that engine of yours, look no further. Love Jugs are around the corner, and these are far from a dirty little secret.
